ハービーが僕らの家に来て2週間ほど経過し、咳もかなり落ち着いてきた
薬が効いて、新しい住環境にも安心感が増えて、ちゃんと眠れているのだろうか
人も犬も、寝るのが一番だと実感した
ハービーは散歩も大好きだ
推定10歳とは思えないほど沢山歩く
運動も健康維持には必要だと、
犬から気づかされる
ハービーの体調が不安だったので、しばらくは家から離れて過ごすことを避けていた
2週間経ったこの頃には体力も戻ったようだったので、はじめて3人でカフェに行ってみることにした
行こう！と思い立ったではあるが、ドッグフレンドリーなカフェを全然知らない
今まで犬と一緒に生活したことなんてなかったし、犬基準でカフェをセレクトしたことなんてあるわけがなかった
しかし、いつの日だったか、北谷のカフェのテラス席でゴールデンレトリバーを連れた白人女性がのんびり過ごしていたことを思い出した
（その様子が絵になり過ぎて、だいぶ前のことながら脳裏に焼き付いていた）
ある休みの日、記憶を頼りに北谷を目指した
確か海沿いのどこかだったはず、
海沿いのカフェに、トイプードルを連れて出かける
文章にするとなんだかセレブに憧れたイタいやつに思える
現実として我が家は、セレブとは程遠い生活水準のため、カフェに行くことすら日々躊躇する
そんな現実はさておき、意外とすんなり目的のカフェは発見できた
一応店員さんに犬OKかを確認して、とりあえず入ってみた
メニューはどれもお洒落で、飲み物も食べ物も美味しそうだった
しかし、さすがは海沿いのカフェ
おいー、たけぇェｪ、高いぞ、、、
値段に怯みながら、1,500円くらいのタコスと、700円くらいのコーヒーを、海沿いのカフェで堪能した
北谷のカフェを舐めていた
いささかパンチの効いたプライスではあったが、3人ではじめて出かけたカフェはとても楽しかった
ハービーはもしかすると生まれてはじめてのお出かけだったかもしれない
勝手な想像だが、そう思うと感慨深かった
どの店員さんも犬に優しくて、
可愛いですね！と声をかけてくれた
そのうち1人の店員さんは
可愛いですね！ヤギじゃないですよね？
と斜め上の切り口で話しかけてくれた
確かにハービーは犬というよりも、山羊にもヒツジにも見える
ハービーは大人しく抱っこされて、海を眺めたり寝たりしていた
可愛いぞハービー
Harvey is mistaken for a goat
It's been about two weeks since Harvey came to our house, and his cough has calmed down considerably.
I wonder if he is sleeping better now that the medicine is working and he feels more secure in his new living environment.
I realized that sleeping is the best for both people and dogs.
Harvey loves his daily walks.
It is hard to believe that he is an estimated 10 years old, but he walks a lot.

We were worried about Harvey's health, so we avoided spending time away from home for a while.
By this time, he seemed to have regained his strength, so the three of us decided to go to a cafe for the first time.

I had never lived with a dog before, there was no way I would have selected a café based on dog-friendly cafes
However, I remember one day, a white woman with a golden retriever was relaxing on the terrace of a cafe in Chatan.
(The scene was so picturesque that it was burned into my brain even though it was a long time ago.)
One day off, I am heading to Chatan from memory.
I was sure it was somewhere along the sea.

I took my poodle to a cafe by the sea.
If I put it in writing, I sound like a lame person who longs to be a celebrity.
In reality, my family's standard of living is far from that of a celebrity, so I hesitate to even go to a café.
Surprisingly, we easily found the café we were looking for.
After confirming with the waitress that dogs were allowed, we went in anyway.
All the drinks and food on the menu looked delicious and stylish!
However, as expected of a seaside café!
it's expensive….
I was scared of the price, but enjoyed a taco for about 1,500 yen and a coffee for about 700 yen at a cafe by the sea!
I had underestimated the cafes in Chatan.
It was a very expensive expense, but the three of us had a great time at the cafe for the first time!
It may have been the first outing for Harvey in his life!
It's just my imagination, but I was deeply moved to think so.
All the staff at the café were kind and said, "he is so cute!”
One of them said
“It's so cute! He was not A GOAT, was he?”
Indeed, Harvey looks more like a goat or a sheep than a dog!
